Am I Part Of The Nasty New EntreCard Trend?

If you can think back to my post on my EntreCard experience, it wasn’t exactly a glowing review. Since then its gotten slightly better, but nothing quite to write home about yet. In a week or so ill write up a post about my advertising experiences there, but that isnt exactly what this post is about.

I decided to branch out and take a look at other bloggers, who weren’t necessarily in the “Internet Marketing” niche. Just to take a look at what advertising networks they were with, how they dealed with spam, and various other things. I came across a post on the “Nasty New EntreCard Trend”. It actually made me laugh quite loudly because you could have almost said it was aimed directly at me. Although i cant quite call it aimed squarely at me, he kind of addresses all the points i pushed out in my post.

No offence to him, but he has a bit of a moan about people complaining about the quality of blogs on the entrecard network. I’m sorry, but i have to completely disagree. Some blogs are (lets be honest) shit. How serious is someone about blogging, when they wont pay 99 cents for a .info domain?  I have friends and family members that blog for fun, and they only have blogger domains. That’s fine, i don’t see them trying to join advertising networks and thinking they can make bank online. I guess the admaster’s use of stock photos of women for every post is what pushes him into that upper echelon of blogs.

I know i wont be the only one having a say about what gets accepted into Entrecard. I will say i have come across some very good blogs, but to say that EntreCard has the VERY best blogs on the internet is a bit of an over-statement.

  1. I don’t agree with the point about buying your own domain name. It’s possible to be serious about blogging and use a blogger subdomain.

  2. Hello again,

nice that you followed some of my tips with looking in other niches, too :)

By the way… the AdMaster is a woman… not a man like the pictures could give us the imagination *lol*

I think there are a lot of good blogs under TOP 300 popular blogs in EntreCard. Sure there are also some who are not updated since weeks already. That’s where Quality starts for me. Update it more than once a week and it could bring us more quality (The Quality Standard of Entrecard is update every 90 days to not get deleted or just a warning!).

Quality means for anyone something different… i can laugh about some of the humor blogs and some of them are not worth reading for me… it’s in the end all about your own taste.

There will be changes coming to EntreCard in the next weeks and months. Many will leave the boat if the CashOut-Program is no more available (these are the Spam-blogs and creditfarmers which just click to earn the credits and let the bounce rate sky rocket). Like you could see in the last three blog post which i wrote on Cornymans Moneypage (ok, i don’t give the link, otherwise you will delete the comment this time? In case you like the articles there, you can give your readers the links in the reply to my comment :) )

Enough for now, have to move on for dropping the next cards.

I 100% agree. The top blogs in all niches arent too bad. But that is only a top 20 or so for each niche, then it all turns to custard. I have read some truly good blogs in the network, but i think its only the skim off the top, then it all goes downhill from there.
